CAREER TALKS: FIND YOUR PURPOSE

Discover and develop your personal career interests and acquire professional development skills through seminars and conversations with alumni of U-M Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE).

Connect with IOE alumni from companies like American Airlines, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Tesla, Colorado Health System, the Orlando Magic, and many more.

Alumni will talk about their roles, their career path, and give advice on making the most of a degree from IOE.

This is event series is open to all U-M students, faculty and staff.

IOE 101 COURSE INFORMATION

The Career Talks event series is also the focus of the course, IOE 101. IOE Careers: Find Your Purpose, a 1-credit course open to all U-M students and available in the Fall.

There are no prerequisites other than a desire to learn from IOE alumni about a range of career paths open to industrial and operations engineers.

This class will be accessible to all students from first-year undergraduate students who want to learn about IOE as a possible major to students near graduation who are looking for jobs.

The seminar-based class will be held most Fridays at noon until 1:30 p.m. during the Fall term.
